11 Simple and Delicious Casseroles for Family Dinners


1. Creamy Chicken Alfredo Casserole


A rich, cheesy casserole featuring tender chicken, fettuccine noodles, and luscious Alfredo sauce. Perfect for a family dinner or weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked fettuccine noodles
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed
  • 1 jar (15 oz / 425 g) Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine noodles, chicken, broccoli, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top if using.
  4. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly and breadcrumbs are golden.
  5. Serve immediately, optionally garnished with fresh parsley.

2. Taco Potatoes Casserole


A Tex-Mex twist combining seasoned ground beef, crispy potatoes, and melty cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced potatoes (pre-cooked or roasted)
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup salsa
  • ½ cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain fat, add taco seasoning, and stir in ¼ cup water. Cook 2–3 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine potatoes, beef mixture, salsa, and ½ cup cheese. Mix well.
  4. Pour into prepared baking dish, sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  5. Bake 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with green onions and serve with sour cream.
