This Homemade Oven Cleaner Will Have Your Stove Sparkling

DIY Natural Oven Cleaner 🌿

Introduction

Ovens can take quite a beating over time, collecting burnt-on food, grease, and grime that make them look worse for wear. If you don’t have a microwave and rely heavily on your oven, keeping it clean is essential—but traditional oven cleaners can be harsh and full of chemicals. Luckily, there’s a simple, natural alternative! This DIY oven cleaner uses everyday household ingredients like lemon juice, vinegar, and dish soap to tackle stubborn grime safely and effectively. Not only will your oven sparkle, but you’ll also be using eco-friendly, non-toxic ingredients that are gentle for your family and the environment.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) mild dish soap
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) lemon juice
  • 1 cup (240 ml) white vinegar
  • 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) water

Directions

  1. Combine the dish soap, lemon juice, vinegar, and water in a spray bottle.
  2. Gently shake the bottle to ensure all ingredients are well mixed.
  3. Spray the solution generously onto all interior surfaces of the oven, including the door, focusing on areas with heavy buildup.
  4. Let the solution sit for 30–60 minutes to allow the natural acids and soap to break down grime and grease.
  5. Using a damp cloth or sponge, begin wiping away softened residue. Be thorough and reach into corners and crevices.
  6. Repeat wiping until all dirt and cleaner residue are removed. Rinse the cloth or sponge as needed.
  7. Admire your clean, rejuvenated oven! It should look refreshed and shiny.
