Steak and Pineapple

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, sugar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Set aside.
  2. Dissolve cornstarch in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and toss the beef strips in the mixture to coat. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet, combine garlic, sliced bell peppers, and ¼ cup water. Cook over medium heat until the water evaporates. The peppers may still appear slightly crisp; this is okay. Remove and set aside.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef strips until lightly seared and cooked through.
  5. Add the cooked peppers, pineapple tidbits, and prepared sauce to the skillet. Stir to coat all ingredients evenly.
  6. Cook for 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through and the sauce slightly thickens.
  7. Serve immediately over steamed rice or your choice of side.
