Ingredients

  • 6 half ears of corn
  • 6 smoked sausage links
  • 12 large red potatoes, halved
  • 3 pounds fresh, unpeeled shrimp
  • 2 teaspoons crab seasoning per liter of water
  • 3 pounds oxtail

House seasoning:

  • 1 cup salt
  • 1/4 cup black pepper
  • 1/4 cup garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 box beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 large garlic cloves, halved
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 8 oz (225 g) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 Vidalia onion, cut into 6 wedges
  • 4 medium carrots, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • Hot buttered rice, for serving
