Slow Cooker Unstuffed Cabbage Roll Soup

Directions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and slightly softened.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture to the slow cooker.
  4. Add chopped cabbage, carrot, and green bell pepper to the slow cooker, gently mixing everything together.
  5. Pour in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and broth, stirring to combine.
  6. Stir in uncooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the cabbage is tender and the rice is fully cooked.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Stir well before serving to distribute the rice evenly.
