Directions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and slightly softened.
- Transfer the meat mixture to the slow cooker.
- Add chopped cabbage, carrot, and green bell pepper to the slow cooker, gently mixing everything together.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and broth, stirring to combine.
- Stir in uncooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the cabbage is tender and the rice is fully cooked.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Stir well before serving to distribute the rice evenly.
