Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, 1/3 cup of French onion soup, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 6 oval-shaped patties.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the patties on both sides, about 3–4 minutes per side. Remove patties and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine the remaining 2/3 cup French onion soup, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, flour, mustard powder, garlic powder, and water. Stir until smooth.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the patties in the skillet. Top with sliced mushrooms if desired.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes, or until patties are cooked through and the gravy has thickened.
- Serve hot, spooning mushroom gravy generously over the patties.
