Directions
- In a pan, sauté the apple slices with 1 tablespoon sugar and lemon juice until softened. Set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, beat eggs with the remaining sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add sunflower oil, ricotta cheese, sifted flour, baking powder, vanilla powder, and rum. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased or lined cake pan. Gently fold in the sautéed apples or arrange them on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
