Kielbasa & Pierogies Casserole

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 12×8-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Place frozen pierogies and water in a medium microwave-safe bowl; cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on High for 2 minutes, stir, then continue microwaving 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until thawed. Arrange pierogies evenly in the prepared baking dish. Top with sliced kielbasa.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, chicken broth, and black pepper until smooth. Stir in 1/2 cup of the shredded Cheddar cheese and 1/3 cup of the green onions (reserve remaining onions for topping).
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pierogies and sausage. Cover with foil and bake 22–27 minutes, or until the center is heated through and reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Remove foil, top with remaining Cheddar cheese, and bake 3–5 minutes more until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Sprinkle reserved green onions on top before serving.
