Ham and Cheese Crescent Rolls

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF (175ºC). Spray a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking dish with cooking spray or grease it with butter.
  2. Open the tube of crescent dough and unroll it with the longest side at the bottom (forming a rectangle). Pinch seams closed and lightly press out the dough to approximately 10×13 inches (25×33 cm).
  3. Lay 6 slices of Swiss cheese on the dough, leaving a 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) margin at the edges.
  4. Top the cheese with the Black Forest ham slices, folding them over if necessary, and then place the remaining cheese slices on top of the ham.
  5. Starting with the longest side, roll up the dough as tightly as possible to encase the ham and cheese. Pinch the ends closed to seal.
  6. Cut the rolled dough into 18 equal pieces and carefully place them in the prepared baking dish, spacing evenly and pinching any separated seams.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together melted butter, poppy seeds, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour this mixture evenly over the rolls.
  8. Bake, uncovered, for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
