Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the sweetened condensed milk, table cream, and powdered milk. Before turning on the stove, whisk until everything is fully blended and smooth—this helps prevent lumps and gives the dessert its silky texture.
- Turn the heat to medium and cook the mixture, stirring constantly with a spatula or whisk. As it heats, you’ll notice it thickening into a creamy, velvety consistency. Continue cooking until it resembles a pudding-like cream.
- Transfer the hot cream to a shallow dish suitable for chilling. Cover the surface directly with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming, then let it cool at room temperature. You may refrigerate it to speed up the process, but make sure it’s completely cool before proceeding.
- Meanwhile, in a separate mixing bowl, whip the cream mix using a hand mixer or stand mixer until stiff peaks form. It should be fluffy and able to stand upright without collapsing. This whipped layer will give the dessert its airy, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
- Once the cooked cream has fully cooled, gently fold it into the whipped cream in batches. Use slow, sweeping motions to keep the mixture light and smooth.
- Add the chocolate flakes and mix gently just until incorporated. The aroma of chocolate and sweet cream at this stage is absolutely irresistible.
- Pour the mixture into your serving platter, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Break or shave the chocolate bar into pieces and sprinkle over the top for decoration.
- Refrigerate the dessert for 3–4 hours, or until completely chilled and firm enough to slice smoothly.
- Serve cold and enjoy the creamy, chocolatey bliss with every bite.
