Directions

  1. Roll out the puff pastry sheets together and refrigerate for 1 hour to firm up.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the whole egg, egg yolks, sugar, cream, and milk until smooth. Chill this custard mixture in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. Preheat oven to 420°F (210°C).
  4. Cut the puff pastry into slices and arrange them in a baking mold or tart pan.
  5. Pour the chilled custard mixture over the pastry, filling it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 23 minutes, or until the custard is set and the pastry is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or garnish with fresh berries.
