Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 1 tsp yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- ¾ cup warm water
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp salt
Steps
- In a bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let sit 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and oil, stirring until dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place until doubled.
- Punch down dough. For thin crust, divide into 2 portions; for thick crust, use whole dough.
- Roll out on a floured surface to desired thickness and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Let rest 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Add toppings and bake 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese melted.
