Donuts Dough
Ingredients
- 1 pack rapid-rise yeast
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup warm milk
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup butter, softened
- 4½ cups flour
- Oil for frying
Steps
- In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let rest 5 minutes until bubbly.
- Add eggs, butter, salt, and flour. Mix and knead until smooth.
- Cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
- Divide dough into 2 parts. Roll each on a floured surface to ¼-inch thickness. Cut donuts using a donut cutter.
- Heat oil (~3 inches deep) in a pan. Fry donuts until golden brown. Drain on paper towels or wire rack.
- Roll in white sugar or top with glaze/cinnamon sugar. Serve warm.
