- 15 g (1 tbsp) unsalted butter
- 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
For the Espresso Buttercream Frosting:
- 225 g (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 375 g (3 cups) powdered sugar
- 10 g (1 tbsp) cocoa powder
- 5 g (1 tbsp) instant espresso powder
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) heavy cream
- 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
