Chinese Pepper Steak with Onions

Instructions

  1. Place the beef strips, green and red bell peppers, and sliced onion in an electric pressure cooker or Instant Pot.
  2. Sprinkle garlic powder, ground ginger, black pepper, and brown sugar evenly over the beef and vegetables.
  3. Pour soy sauce over the mixture.
  4. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little water to make a smooth slurry. Set aside.
  5. Pour beef broth over the ingredients in the cooker and stir to combine.
  6. Close the pressure cooker lid and cook on high pressure for 8–10 minutes.
  7. Carefully release the pressure and open the lid.
  8. If the sauce needs thickening, turn on the sauté function and stir in the cornstarch slurry until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
  9. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles, and enjoy!
