Breaded Fried Chicken: Crispy and Ready in No Time

Directions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
  2. Make the batter: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, starch, salt, and baking powder. Add the egg yolk and water, mixing until smooth to create a thick batter.
  3. Coat the chicken: Add the chicken cubes to the batter, ensuring each piece is fully coated.
  4. Heat the oil: Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan or deep skillet, enough to cover the chicken cubes. Heat over medium-high heat until hot.
  5. Fry the chicken: Carefully add the coated chicken cubes to the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 4–6 minutes per batch depending on size. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
  6. Drain and serve: Remove the fried chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
