Baked Garlic Butter Chicken

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven. Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Prepare the chicken. Season the chicken breasts with salt and freshly ground black pepper and place them in the prepared dish.
  3. Make the garlic butter. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until lightly browned and fragrant.
  4. Add rosemary. Stir in the fresh rosemary leaves and remove the skillet from heat.
  5. Pour over chicken. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the seasoned chicken breasts.
  6. Bake. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30–32 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Add cheese. Sprinkle the shredded Italian cheese over the chicken and bake for an additional 3 minutes, or until melted and slightly golden.
  8. Serve. Remove from oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Spoon some of the garlic butter sauce over the top before serving for extra flavor.
