Strawberries with Whipped Cream

Directions

  1. Rinse the strawberries under running water, dry, hull, and cut them into quarters or bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
  2. In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream until it reaches about 80% firm peaks.
  3. Add vanilla extract (or vanilla seeds) and powdered sugar, continuing to whip until fully incorporated and firm.
  4. Transfer the whipped cream to a piping bag for easy assembly.
  5. In individual cups or verrines, place a few strawberries at the bottom. Optionally, drizzle lightly with condensed milk for extra sweetness.
  6. Pipe or spoon a generous layer of whipped cream over the strawberries.
  7. Top each serving with a whole strawberry and a fresh mint leaf for garnish.
  8. Refrigerate until ready to serve, ideally 30 minutes to 1 hour.
