Spaghetti & Stuffed Mozzarella Garlic Bread

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. For the sauce, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–12 minutes until slightly thickened. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  5. Toss cooked spaghetti in the sauce until well coated. Keep warm while preparing the garlic bread.
  6. For the garlic bread, slice the bread loaf lengthwise without cutting all the way through, creating a hinge. Spread softened butter evenly inside the bread. Sprinkle minced garlic and parsley over the butter.
  7. Stuff mozzarella slices inside the bread evenly. Close the bread and wrap it in aluminum foil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is warm. For a crispy top, unwrap the foil during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  9. Slice the stuffed garlic bread and serve alongside the spaghetti. Garnish spaghetti with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese.
