Directions
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- For the sauce, heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–12 minutes until slightly thickened. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Toss cooked spaghetti in the sauce until well coated. Keep warm while preparing the garlic bread.
- For the garlic bread, slice the bread loaf lengthwise without cutting all the way through, creating a hinge. Spread softened butter evenly inside the bread. Sprinkle minced garlic and parsley over the butter.
- Stuff mozzarella slices inside the bread evenly. Close the bread and wrap it in aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is warm. For a crispy top, unwrap the foil during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Slice the stuffed garlic bread and serve alongside the spaghetti. Garnish spaghetti with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan cheese.
