Puff Pastry Triangles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 4 equal rectangles.
  3. On each rectangle, make several vertical cuts about 1/3 of the way into the pastry, leaving the edges intact. Brush the pastry lightly with melted butter.
  4. Fold each rectangle horizontally, pressing gently along the edges so the cuts stay on top. Lay the folded pastry on the baking tray with the cut side facing down.
  5. Spoon about 1–2 tablespoons of hazelnut cream into the center of each pastry. Fold over the dough diagonally to form a triangle, pressing edges gently to seal.
  6. Brush each triangle with milk and sprinkle a little granulated sugar over the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
