- Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to sear the outside and lock in juices.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (160°C) and continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness:
- Medium-rare: 135°F (57°C)
- Medium: 140°F (60°C)
- Well-done: 150°F (66°C)
- Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 15–20 minutes, tented with foil, to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Slice the prime rib into thick, juicy portions and serve immediately.
