Pineapple Baked Ham

Directions

  1. Prepare the Crock Pot:
Use a large crock pot (6-quart or larger). Spread 2 cups (400 g) of the brown sugar evenly across the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Place the Ham:
Place the ham on top of the brown sugar. If spiral-cut, gently separate the slices with your hands to allow the glaze to penetrate between layers.
  3. Add Honey:
Pour the honey evenly over the top of the ham, ensuring all surfaces are lightly coated.
  4. Add Pineapple:
Arrange the pineapple chunks and their juice around the sides of the ham and a few on top. This adds sweetness and moisture while infusing the ham with tropical flavor.
  5. Top with Remaining Sugar:
Sprinkle the remaining 1 1/2 cups (300 g) of brown sugar evenly over the top of the ham. Pat lightly to ensure it adheres to the surface.
  6. Cook the Ham:
Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Check occasionally to make sure the ham is heated through and the glaze is caramelizing nicely.
  7. Serve:
Remove the ham from the crock pot and transfer to a serving platter. Spoon the pineapple and glaze over slices for maximum flavor.
