Directions

- Reduce heat to low and return the sautéed peppers and onions to the skillet, mixing with the steak.
- Top the mixture with cheese slices, allowing them to melt. Cover the skillet with a lid to speed up melting, about 1–2 minutes.
- Split the rolls and toast lightly if desired.
- Spoon the steak, pepper, onion, and cheese mixture into each roll. Serve hot.
