- ½ tsp black pepper
For the Marinara Sauce
- 2 tsp olive oil
- ¼ cup onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 4 fresh basil leaves, minced (or 1 tbsp dried basil)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp sugar
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp thyme
- ¼ tsp oregano
For the Topping
- 12 slices mozzarella cheese
