Directions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Alternatively, preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
- In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the beaten eggs in a second shallow bowl. Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl.
- Dip each chicken piece first into the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess, then into the eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Press gently to ensure the crumbs adhere.
- Arrange the coated chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet or in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.
- Oven method: Bake for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden and cooked through.
- Air fryer method: Cook for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until crispy and fully cooked.
- While the chicken cooks, prepare the dipping sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Remove chicken from the oven or air fryer and let cool for a few minutes. Serve immediately with the dipping sauce.
