Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients:
- ½ cup (115 g) butter, softened
- 1 block (8 oz / 225 g) cream cheese, softened
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 3 cups (360 g) powdered sugar
Instructions:
- Beat butter and cream cheese together until smooth.
- Add salt and powdered sugar gradually, beating until creamy and spreadable.
Notes: Ideal for carrot cake, red velvet, or spice cake. Keep refrigerated if not using immediately.
Vanilla Frosting
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225 g) butter, softened
- 4 cups (480 g) powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ¼ cup (60 ml) milk
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Cream butter until smooth.
- Gradually add powdered sugar, beating to combine.
- Mix in vanilla, milk, and salt. Beat until light and fluffy.
Notes: Classic all-purpose frosting that works on nearly any cake or cupcake. Adjust milk to reach your preferred consistency.
