Mocha Buttercream
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225 g) butter, softened
- 3 cups (360 g) powdered sugar
- ¼ cup (25 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Beat the butter until creamy.
- Sift in powdered sugar and cocoa powder, then mix until incorporated.
- Dissolve instant coffee in a teaspoon of hot water, then add to the frosting. Add salt and beat until fluffy.
Notes: Excellent with chocolate cakes or as a filling in layered desserts.
Butter Pecan Frosting
Ingredients:
- ½ cup (115 g) butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360 g) powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup (30 g) crushed pecans
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Cream butter in a mixing bowl until soft.
- Gradually mix in powdered sugar and cinnamon.
- Stir in vanilla, salt, and crushed pecans. Beat until smooth.
Notes: Adds a nutty, spiced flavor perfect for autumn desserts or carrot cake.
