- If using fresh bread, pulse in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the beaten egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, and Old Bay seasoning.
- Gently fold in the breadcrumbs and crab meat, mixing carefully to avoid breaking up the crab too much. Large chunks can be lightly broken to help the nuggets hold together.
- Shape the mixture into 24 evenly sized balls.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry the crab nuggets in batches, turning once, until golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, or enjoy them plain for a pure crab flavor.
