Crispy Crab Nuggets

Directions

  1. If using fresh bread, pulse in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the beaten egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, and Old Bay seasoning.
  3. Gently fold in the breadcrumbs and crab meat, mixing carefully to avoid breaking up the crab too much. Large chunks can be lightly broken to help the nuggets hold together.
  4. Shape the mixture into 24 evenly sized balls.
  5. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry the crab nuggets in batches, turning once, until golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, or enjoy them plain for a pure crab flavor.
