Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the flour onto a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes to make it safe to eat. Allow to cool.
  2. Line an 8″x8″ square pan with parchment paper or foil and lightly coat with cooking spray.
  3. For the cookie dough, place butter and brown sugar in the bowl of a mixer. Beat until fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  4. Add vanilla extract and beat for an additional minute.
  5. Alternate adding the cooled flour and sweetened condensed milk, mixing on low speed until a soft dough forms.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and M&M’s until evenly distributed.
  7. Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared pan and place in the freezer for 30 minutes to firm up.
  8. To prepare the topping, melt chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring until smooth.
  9. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the chilled cookie dough layer and press the remaining M&M’s into the top.
  10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
