Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Mix well.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon filling.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking pan. Spread the cinnamon filling evenly over the batter.
- Drop spoonfuls of the remaining cake batter over the cinnamon filling. Use a knife or spatula to swirl the batter and filling together, creating a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake and allow it to soak in.
- Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
