Chocolate Flan Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 12 fluid ounce can evaporated milk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ingredients for the Caramel:
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Preparations

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water for the caramel. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture turns golden brown, about 10-12 minutes. Pour the caramel into the bottom of a 10-inch round cake pan, tilting the pan to evenly coat the bottom. Set aside to cool and harden.
