- 3 cups (720 ml) chicken broth
- 1 cup (240 ml) water
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon (1 g) dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon (1 g) dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon (1 g) black pepper
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 bay leaf
Optional Thickener
- 2 tablespoons (16 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) water (to make slurry)
