Brownie Cheesecake

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in sugar until well combined.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.
  7. Gently spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer.
  8. Use a knife or skewer to swirl through the layers, creating a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
