4 One-Minute Mug Cakes
Who says you need a full oven to enjoy cake? These quick, single-serving mug cakes are perfect when you want a warm, freshly baked treat in just one minute. From peanut butter to chocolate, there’s a flavor for every craving. Simply mix, microwave, and enjoy!
1️⃣ Peanut Butter Cake in a Mug
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons (32 g) self-rising flour
- 3 tablespoons (38 g) granulated sugar
- 4 tablespoons (64 g) creamy peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) whole milk
- 3 tablespoons (42 g) salted sweet cream butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon (16 g) creamy peanut butter, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a microwave-safe mug, combine self-rising flour, sugar, and peanut butter.
- Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Microwave on high for 60–70 seconds, until the cake rises and is set in the middle.
- Let cool slightly, then top with a small spoonful of peanut butter if desired. Serve warm.
2️⃣ Brownie in a Mug
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons (24 g) all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons (18 g) Dutch-process cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons (36 g) brown sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- ¼ teaspoon (1.25 ml) vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) milk
- 3 tablespoons (42 ml) vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) chocolate chunks or chips
- 1 tablespoon (18 g) beaten egg
Instructions:
- Mix flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and salt in a microwave-safe mug.
- Add vanilla, milk, vegetable oil, and beaten egg. Stir until smooth.
- Fold in chocolate chunks or chips.
- Microwave on high for 60–70 seconds until set but still soft in the center. Cool slightly and enjoy warm.
