4️⃣ Coffee Cake in a Mug


Ingredients:

Cake:

  • 3 tablespoons (24 g) all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon (0.5 g) cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon (2 g) baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon (12 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (12 g) light brown sugar
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon (14 g) melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) whole milk

Streusel:

  • 1 tablespoon (8 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon (12 g) light brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon (0.5 g) ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) melted butter

Glaze:

  • 2 tablespoons (15 g) powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5 ml) milk

Instructions:

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, mix flour, cinnamon, baking powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  2. Stir in melted butter and milk until smooth.
  3. Prepare streusel by combining flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter; sprinkle over the top of the batter.
  4. Microwave on high for 60–70 seconds until the cake has set.
  5. Mix powdered sugar and milk to create glaze, then drizzle over the warm cake. Serve immediately.

Tips for Perfect Mug Cakes:

  • Use a large enough mug to prevent overflow.
  • Microwave power varies, so check the cake after 60 seconds and adjust time as needed.
  • Let cakes cool slightly before eating—they continue to firm up as they rest.
