Ingredients

For the Beef and Marinade:

  • 1 lb (450 g) flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (8 g) cornstarch

For Stir-Frying:

  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon (6 g) fresh ginger, minced

For the Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon (4 g) sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon (1 g) black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon (0.5 g) red pepper flakes (optional)

For Serving:

  • Cooked rice
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish
