Walking Taco Bake

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until the meat is browned and the onions are softened. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season: Add the taco seasoning, corn, black beans, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
  4. Layer the Bake: Spread half of the crushed tortilla chips in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Pour the beef mixture over the chips, then sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Finish with the remaining crushed chips.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve with Toppings: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Top with sour cream, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, black olives, jalapeños, and cilantro as desired. Serve warm.
