Linda was right in a way—that moment never really “ended.” It just became part of our lives.

Even now, when I talk to Karen or get a message from Linda about something that reminds her of that summer, it comes back clearly.

Life isn’t made of big planned events. It’s made of small, ordinary moments you don’t realize are important until much later.

And when I think about that day, I can still remember exactly how the air felt, how the sun hit the patio, and how normal everything seemed.
