Step 1: Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and sugar substitute. Whisk together until the sweetener is mostly dissolved. Add the vanilla extract and stir to combine.
Step 2: Heat and Simmer
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Reduce the heat to low and cook uncovered, stirring frequently to prevent scorching.
Step 3: Reduce the Milk
Continue simmering for 25–30 minutes, or until the mixture reduces by about half and thickens slightly. The milk should have a creamy, syrupy consistency.
Step 4: Cool and Store
Remove the condensed milk from the heat and allow it to cool completely. It will thicken a bit more as it cools. Transfer to a clean jar or airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
