  • 30 g (2 tbsp) granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract

For the cream cheese frosting:

  • 225 g (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
  • 450 g (4 cups) powdered sugar
  • 225 g (8 oz / 1 cup) cream cheese, softened
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) milk, as needed for consistency

For decoration:

  • Fresh strawberries, sliced or halved
