Directions
- Preheat your oven according to the crescent roll package instructions. If using a pizza stone, preheat it as well.
- On a round pizza pan or heated pizza stone, arrange the crescent roll triangles in a circle with wide ends overlapping in the center and points facing outward, forming a sun-like ring.
- Layer ham, pepperoni, provolone, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and pepperoncini on the widest part of each triangle, keeping the layers tall and narrow.
- Fold the points of the crescent triangles over the filling, tucking in any stray cheese or peppers to seal the ring. Adjust the center gently to form a neat circle.
- Brush the entire ring with the beaten egg to create a golden, glossy top. Sprinkle coarse black pepper over the top if desired.
- Bake according to the crescent roll package instructions, usually 12–15 minutes, until the crescent dough is golden and fully cooked.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve. Slice the ring for easy dippable pieces.
