Spicy Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta

Directions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.

Step 2: Season and Cook the Chicken

Toss the chicken strips with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream, stirring frequently. Allow it to simmer gently for 3–4 minutes, then stir in Parmesan cheese and paprika. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4: Combine Pasta and Chicken

Add the cooked pasta and chicken back into the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat evenly. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Step 5: Serve

Plate the pasta and garnish with chopped parsley or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for extra heat. Serve immediately while creamy and hot.
