Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the spaghetti in a large saucepan according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and sausage together. Add the diced onion while browning. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5–8 minutes. Add the cooked spaghetti and mix until fully coated with sauce. Remove from heat.
- Cut the Italian bread loaf in half lengthwise. Hollow out the center of each half to create space for the filling. Brush the insides and sides with butter and sprinkle with garlic powder. Toast in the oven until lightly golden.
- Spoon the spaghetti and meat sauce into each hollowed bread half. Top each loaf with half of the divided Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and slice gently with a bread knife. Serve warm.
