Slow Cooked Chicken and Gravy

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base. In a slow cooker, combine the cream of chicken soup, the chicken gravy mixes, and water. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
  2. Season. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir again to evenly distribute the seasonings.
  3. Add the chicken. Place the chicken breasts on top of the soup and gravy mixture, ensuring they are mostly covered.
  4. Cook. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. Add vegetables (optional). During the last hour of cooking, add fresh or frozen vegetables of your choice. Check for doneness if using fresh vegetables to avoid sogginess.
  6. Serve. Spoon the chicken and gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta for a complete and comforting meal.
