Shredded Chicken Gravy on Mashed Potatoes

Directions

  1. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes: Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot and cover with salted water. Boil until tender, about 15–20 minutes. Drain well and return to the pot.
  2. Mash the Potatoes: Add the milk, butter, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Keep warm while preparing the chicken gravy.
  3. Make the Chicken Gravy: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the shredded chicken, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Heat Through: Cook the chicken gravy for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is heated through and slightly thickened.
  5. Serve: Spoon the mashed potatoes onto plates and generously top with the shredded chicken gravy.
  6. Optional Garnish: Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley or chives for added color and flavor.
