Directions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Add Vegetables: Stir in the diced onion and bell peppers. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until they start to soften.
- Season: Add garlic, Italian seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Combine with Tomatoes: Pour in the diced tomatoes and stir to combine evenly.
- Add Rice and Broth: Stir in the rice and beef broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover the skillet with a lid or foil.
- Bake: Transfer the covered skillet to the oven. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked. Add a little extra broth or water if the rice isn’t fully tender.
- Add Cheese: Remove the cover, sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top, and switch the oven to broil. Broil for 3–5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Top with fresh parsley and serve hot.
