Pecan Pie Dump Cake

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 2: Layer the Filling
Pour the pecan pie filling evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish. Sprinkle the optional chopped pecans over the filling for extra crunch.

Step 3: Add the Cake Mix
Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the pecan filling, covering it completely.

Step 4: Mix Butter & Milk
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and milk until combined.

Step 5: Pour Over Cake Mix
Slowly pour the butter-milk mixture evenly over the dry cake mix. Try to cover as much of the surface as possible. Do not stir.

Step 6: Bake
Bake for 45–55 minutes, until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean (a little gooeyness is fine). The edges should be bubbly and set.

Step 7: Cool & Serve
Let the dump cake cool for 15–20 minutes to allow the filling to set slightly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
