Pecan Pie Bread Pudding

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a 23×33 cm (9×13-inch) baking dish.
  2. Spread the cubed bread evenly in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread and pecans, pressing down gently so the bread absorbs the liquid.
  5. Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes to soak thoroughly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
