Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together 1/3 cup of the French onion soup, ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 6 oval patties.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the patties on both sides, about 3–4 minutes per side.
- Pour off any excess fat from the skillet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the remaining French onion soup and flour until smooth.
- Stir in ketchup, water, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard powder. Pour the mixture over the browned patties.
- Cover the skillet and cook for 20 minutes, stirring the sauce occasionally, until the patties are cooked through and the gravy is thickened.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
