Directions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the room temperature butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the flour, about 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. If desired, add a drop or two of yellow food coloring with the flour to enhance the cookie color.
- Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form the dough into small balls, placing them about 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Press down each dough ball lightly with three fingers to flatten slightly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the tops are just lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy!
